AMLIG FOR INDAY is a shared cervical cancer prevention initiative of the towns of Carles, Estancia, and Lemery, led by the Iloilo Provincial Health Office and their municipal health teams, working together to bring HPV-DNA testing closer to women—whether in primary care facilities, remote islands, or mountainous communities.

From the Hiligaynon word “AMLIG“—meaning to care for and protect—and “INDAY”, a term of endearment for women, the name reflects our collective responsibility to nurture women’s health today to secure our shared future tomorrow.

The initiative is implemented in collaboration with Cancer Warriors Foundation, Inc., with technical guidance from the DOH Center for Health Development – Region VI and Western Visayas Medical Center, and supported by UNITAID and Expertise France under the Scale Up Cervical Cancer Elimination with Secondary Prevention Strategy for Asia Pacific (SUCCESS-FAP) Project. AMLIG FOR INDAY integrates community education, screening, treatment, and referral—because when we save women’s lives, we strengthen families, communities, and the future of our nation.
